SemGroup Examiner Gets Court OK To Quiz Execs

Law360, New York (December 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The bankruptcy judge overseeing SemGroup LP's Chapter 11 case has approved a request by a court-appointed examiner to question the company's top executives, auditors and lawyers over dubious prepetition transactions that have raised regulators' eyebrows.

Judge Brendan Shannon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Wednesday approved the motion by examiner Louis Freeh to interview current and former officers, directors and employees of SemGroup and certain subsidiaries, in addition to the beleaguered energy company's auditors, corporate counsel, lenders and investors.
