Dunlop To Pay $4.54M For Role In Marine Hose Cartel

Law360, New York (December 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- British marine hose manufacturer Dunlop Oil & Marine Ltd. is set to shell out $4.54 million in criminal fines after pleading guilty to participating in a conspiracy to rig bids, fix prices and allocate market shares of marine hose sold in the United States and elsewhere.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Monday it had filed a one-count felony charge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the Grimsby, England-based Dunlop.
