Tessera Patents Not Infringed: ITC Judge

Law360, New York (December 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Tessera Technologies Inc. has lost its patent fight against six rival technology companies, with a judge for the U.S. International Trade Commission finding that none of the defendants infringed Tessera's patents.

ITC Administrative Law Judge Theodore Essex ruled Monday that that the two patents Tessera asserted in its suit were valid, but that they were not infringed by ATI Technologies, Freescale Semiconductor Inc., Motorola Inc., Qualcomm Inc., Spansion Inc. or STMicroelectronics NV.
