Deals Rumor Mill: Google, Apollo Global, Chicago Tribune

By Benjamin Horney (May 2, 2016, 4:12 PM EDT) -- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is close to inking an agreement that would see it partner with Google Inc. to develop self-driving cars, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal on Saturday. According to the report, Fiat Chrysler is in "late stage" talks with Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, over a partnership that would see Google provide its autonomous vehicle technology to the auto giant so it could build the cars. No timetable was disclosed concerning when a deal might actually be reached, nor were further details of the partnership....
