Hewitt Agrees To Pay $4.9M To Settle OT Class Action

Law360, New York (December 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hewitt Associates Inc. has agreed to pay $4.9 million to settle a class action suit that accuses the human resources and consulting firm of failing to pay its benefits analysts overtime wages in violation of federal and state labor laws.

A federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey signed an order Tuesday preliminarily approving the settlement, under which each of about 1,200 putative class members will receive an average of $2,600.
