Deals Rumor Mill: AB InBev, Yahoo, London Stock Exchange

By Benjamin Horney (May 20, 2016, 4:53 PM EDT) -- The blockbuster tie-up of brewing behemoths Anheuser-Busch InBev SA and SABMiller PLC will be greenlit by the European Commission, according to a report from Reuters on Friday, after the two companies inked multiple agreements to shed a number of assets. According to the report, AB InBev was able to ease concerns of European regulators by selling SABMiller's Peroni, Grolsche and Meantime brands to Asahi Group Holdings Ltd., a deal that was clinched late last month. The company is also in the process of selling SABMiller's businesses in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, the report added. An official decision from the commission is expected early next week, the report noted, and Australian and South African authorities have already approved the merger, which combines the world's No. 1 and No. 2 brewers....
