Law360, New York (December 11, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Howrey LLP has let go of approximately 10 associates, adding to the pool of unemployed lawyers nationwide competing for new jobs. The firm said these were not layoffs but “outplacements.”
“As in every year, there is an outplacement of some associates based on performance issues,” the firm said in a statement Thursday. “This year, as in previous years, this involves approximately 10 associates and occurs only after an exhaustive evaluation process and review.”
