NY Foundry Pleads Guilty To Felony CWA Violation

Law360, New York (December 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Frazer & Jones Co., a maker of iron castings, has been ordered to pay $250,000 after pleading guilty to a felony charge of violating the Clean Air Act at the company's Solvay, N.Y., foundry.

In addition to the fine, Chief Judge Norman A. Mordue of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York ordered the company Wednesday to serve two years of probation. The order came about two weeks after a plea agreement was reached in the case.
