Google Fires Back In Aloft Web Browser Patent Suit

Law360, New York (December 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Less than a month after Aloft Media LLC accused Google Inc. of patent infringement over the Internet giant's new open-source Web browser, Google has hit back with allegations that Aloft's browser patent is invalid.

Google's counterclaims, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, also argue that the company's Chrome browser does not infringe Aloft's patent.
