EU OKs Plan To Tackle Carbon Emissions

Law360, New York (December 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Union's latest energy package to reduce carbon emissions, which was approved Friday, includes funding for more efficient power plants, but the plan drew the ire of one environmental group that said it wasn't aggressive enough.

The Council of the European Union agreed Friday on the final compromise of its energy and climate change plan, which incorporates a multination carbon market.
