Green Groups Win $500K In Fees In Suit Against US

Law360, New York (December 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two environmental groups have been awarded $484,983 in attorneys' fees after winning partial summary judgment in a case that accused the U.S. government of enacting a 2005 forest planning rule without proper review.

On Thursday, Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton granted a portion of the fees requested by Citizens for Better Forestry and Defenders of Wildlife, 20 months after ruling on the claims in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
