By Benjamin Horney ( June 9, 2016, 5:28 PM EDT) -- Verizon Communications Inc.'s bid to buy Yahoo Inc.'s core internet assets was not the highest of the week, according to a Thursday report from Reuters, despite the telecom giant having been hailed as the front-runner in recent weeks. According to the report, Yahoo is expected to whittle down the list of suitors in the next few days. Previous reports said Verizon had put forward a roughly $3 billion second-round bid, with other potential bidders including AT&T Inc. and TPG Capital....
