Deals Rumor Mill: Dell, Anthem, Deutsche Borse

By Benjamin Horney (June 20, 2016, 5:54 PM EDT) -- A consortium comprising Francisco Partners and the private equity branch of activist investor Elliott Management Corp. are in discussions to buy the software division of Dell Inc. for upwards of $2 billion, Reuters reported on Monday. According to the report, the parties are in the advanced stages of talks as Dell seeks to divest assets in an attempt to refocus its technology portfolio after last year's acquisition of EMC Corp. An announcement could be made as soon as this week, the report noted, though it's still possible the deal falls through....
