Ex-Fremont General Counsel Gets OK For Wage Suit

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has allowed a lawsuit brought by Fremont General Corp.'s former general counsel to go forward even though the successor company contended that the litigation would violate the automatic stay in its bankruptcy case.

In an order Wednesday, Judge Erithe A. Smith of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California granted the relief from the stay on the condition that the complaint is amended to remove all charging allegations against the debtor.
