Lilly Clashes With Valeant Over Permax Liability Costs

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As Eli Lilly and Co. faces product liability claims over its discontinued drug Permax, the drugmaker has sued Valeant Pharmaceuticals International to force the bridling licensee to shoulder its share of costs associated with litigation.

The complaint, lodged Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, claims that a 2004 agreement requires Valeant to pay its portion of the costs associated with Permax product liability claims.
