BP Strikes Deal With Authorities Over Indiana Refinery

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- BP America Inc. has settled with Indiana authorities for $332,250 over the 14 safety violations inspectors originally cited at the company's Whiting refinery in 2006.

The Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration had sought $384,250 in fines from BP in November 2006 following an investigation opened in May of that year.
