$33M Roche Antitrust Deal Gets Final OK

Law360, New York (December 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has given final approval to a $33 million settlement of an antitrust lawsuit alleging Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. and others exploited a patent useful in analyzing DNA samples.

Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia approved the settlement Monday following a Dec. 15 hearing where other class members gave their assent to the deal.
