Defense Cos.' $4.6M Cleanup Settlement Approved

Law360, New York (December 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal court has approved a $4.6 million agreement between the U.S. government and FMC Corp. and BAE Systems Land & Armaments LP over cleanup costs at a Minnesota Superfund site that has long been home to a manufacturing facility for naval weapons equipment.

In a judgment entered Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Judge Ann D. Montgomery signed off on the consent decree under which the defendants have 30 days to pay the U.S. Department of the Navy $4.2 million...
