DOJ Wins Restraining Order In Microsemi Case

Law360, New York (December 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has won a restraining order against Microsemi Corp. that bans the chip maker from selling or otherwise disposing of the assets of the rival company it acquired in July.

The DOJ was granted its unopposed motion for an injunction on Dec. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, which is overseeing the federal antitrust agency's action over Microsemi's purchase of Semicoa Inc.
