EPA Sued Over Chesapeake Bay Pollution

Law360, New York (January 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A coalition of environmental groups, trade groups and prominent politicians is taking the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to court to enforce the environmental laws intended to restore Chesapeake Bay to health.

The complaint, lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, claims the EPA has failed to reduce the pollution that has decimated marine life in Chesapeake Bay and neglected to institute controls despite repeated agreements with neighboring states to improve the estuary's condition.
