Venable Scores New IP Litigation Co-Chair

Law360, New York (January 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Entertainment lawyer George Borkowski, who handled a seminal case against Napster, has joined Venable LLP's expanding Los Angeles office as a partner and co-chair of its intellectual property practice.

Borkowski joins Venable after 20 years in the Los Angeles office of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, where he founded and chaired the intellectual property and technology practice.

The entertainment lawyer said he chose to move on to Venable because of its focus on “cutting-edge technology” and its continuing expansion in perilous economic times.
