Citing Flight Risk, Prosecutors Seek To Jail Madoff

Law360, New York (January 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Federal prosecutors said Wednesday that Bernard L. Madoff, the disgraced fund manager accused of running a $50 billion Ponzi scheme, sent several packages containing jewelry and other valuables worth more than $1 million to relatives in violation of a federal court order.
