Fraud Likely To Increase In Downturn: Report

Law360, New York (January 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a recent poll conducted by Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, nearly two-thirds of accounting executives said they expected to see a rise in accounting fraud over the next two years as a result of declining financial markets.

Carried out in July but released Thursday, the poll surveyed more than 1,280 executives from the banking and securities, financial services and technology industries about the outlook of the accounting industry.
