Lonestar Files New Suit Over Semiconductor Patent

Law360, New York (January 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Patent-holding company Lonestar Inventions LP has filed a lawsuit alleging that certain Advanced Micro Devices Inc. chips, including one used in the popular Wii video game console, infringe its patent for a high-capacitance structure in a semiconductor.

The suit, lodged Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, is just the latest to come in over the patent.
