Panel Awards Tessera $60.6M In Chip Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (January 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- An arbitration panel has handed Tessera Technologies Inc. a final award of $60.6 million after finding Amkor Technology Inc. violated a license agreement with Tessera related to miniaturization patents.

The International Chamber of Commerce’s International Court of Arbitration determined that Amkor had to pay the amount for past royalties due under the license agreement for the period between March 2002 and December 2008, according to company releases on Wednesday.
