IBM, Atmel Cut From Number Generator Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Atmel Corp. and IBM Corp. have been dismissed from a lawsuit brought by Quantum World Corp. over two patents for a random number generator system that are allegedly infringed by several ThinkPad computer models.

Judge Charles Everingham IV of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed an order Thursday dismissing with prejudice all claims and counterclaims between Quantum, Atmel and IBM.
