FCC Head Sets Up Comcast Probe For New Chairman

Law360, New York (January 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In an unusual move, the now-former chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission announced a new investigation into Comcast Corp. just before vacating his post to make room for new leadership under the Obama administration.

Kevin Martin revealed over the weekend that the agency was looking into whether Comcast Corp.'s broadband network management policies intentionally put the company's Internet phone service rivals at a disadvantage.
