Deals Rumor Mill: Bayer, Postal Savings Bank Of China, Teneo

By Benjamin Horney (September 13, 2016, 4:50 PM EDT) -- Bayer AG has upped its offer to acquire Monsanto Co. to $129 per share, according to a Tuesday report from Bloomberg, and Monsanto's board of directors could approve the deal any day now. According to a separate report from Reuters, Bayer's supervisory board is scheduled to meet on Wednesday. A deal, which would create the largest seeds and pesticides maker in the world, has been described as potentially imminent since last week, after Bayer confirmed it had raised its buyout offer to Monsanto to $127.50 per share. The German drug and chemical maker has been in pursuit of Monsanto since May, when it first lobbed a $62 billion bid....
