Judge OKs $7M Enron, Goldman Deal Over Securities

Law360, New York (January 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has signed off on a nearly $7 million settlement between Goldman Sachs & Co. and Enron Creditors Recovery Corp. over commercial paper transactions leading up to the energy company's collapse in 2001.

In an order Wednesday, Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr. of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York approved the $6.95 million deal.
