Honeywell Agrees To Drop Acer From LCD Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Honeywell International Inc. has agreed to dismiss personal computer vendor Acer America Corp. from a patent lawsuit that accused Acer and others of infringing a patent covering technology that reduces or eliminates the perception of flicker in flat-panel liquid crystal displays.

The stipulated motion, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeks to dismiss all claims and counterclaims between the two parties without prejudice.
