Insurers Liable For Appleton PCB Cleanup: Judge

Law360, New York (January 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Wisconsin judge has upheld a 2008 jury verdict holding eight insurance companies liable for Appleton Papers Inc.'s portion of upward of $400 million in costs to clean polychlorinated biphenyl contamination out of local waterways.

Circuit Judge Donald Zuidmulder of the Wisconsin Circuit Court for Brown County affirmed the jury verdict Wednesday.
