FDA's Protection Powers 'Hampered': GAO

Law360, New York (January 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the latest stinging rebuke to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Government Accountability Office says the agency's ability to protect Americans from unsafe and ineffective products has been compromised, making it one of the “high-risk” federal government areas in dire need of improvement.
