House OKs Bill To Strengthen Whistleblower Rights

Law360, New York (January 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation to strengthen whistleblower protections for employees of government contractors and federal employees, including those in national security, transportation security and science.

U.S. Reps. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., and Todd Platts, R-Pa., attached the legislation as an amendment to the $819 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which passed the House 244-188 on Wednesday.
