Ex-Coke Secretary Wants Separate Trial

Law360, New York (August 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former secretary for Coca-Cola Co. who was charged with stealing trade secrets and trying to sell them to rival PepsiCo Inc. along with two other defendants has requested she be tried separately.

Joya Williams’ attorney filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Thursday, asking that her client be tried apart from Ibrahim Dimson and Edmund Duhaney on the basis that Williams’ defense “will be antagonistic to that of her co-defendants,” according to news reports.
