BSC Told To Pay Interest On $19M Medtronic Award

Law360, New York (February 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Medtronic Inc. will reap prejudgment interest on a $19.09 million damages award arising from a patent suit it filed against Boston Scientific Corp. over balloon catheters, a judge has ruled.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas passed down the ruling on Jan. 23 despite protests from BSC that interest was not warranted in the dispute.
