EPA Asked To Repeal Bush Hazardous Waste Rule

Law360, New York (February 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Sierra Club hasn’t wasted any time in asking the newly appointed head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to repeal a Bush administration rule that deregulated certain varieties of hazardous waste.

Environmental law firm Earthjustice sent a petition on behalf of the Sierra Club to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson on Thursday asking her to overturn an October rule that revises the definitions of hazardous waste.
