Deals Rumor Mill: CBS, Etihad Airways, Deutsche Telekom

By Benjamin Horney (November 7, 2016, 5:12 PM EST) -- CBS Corp. has tapped Moelis & Co. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to advise as it mulls a merger with Viacom Inc., The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. According to the report, Viacom's management has no plans to hire more financial or legal advisers. Viacom is working with Morgan Stanley, Allen & Co. and LionTree LLC, with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP serving as legal counsel. The companies confirmed that they were in talks to merge last month. Viacom said in September that it would hire advisers to consider a combination with CBS after Sumner Redstone, CEO and majority owner of movie theater company National Amusements, called in an open letter for Viacom and CBS to explore a deal...
