Microsoft Licenses ActiveSync Patents To Google

Law360, New York (February 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. has shared its mobile software synchronization technology with competitor Google Inc. in a licensing deal that shows how the software giant is seeking out new ways to make use of its patent portfolio while at the same time attempting to address concerns by antitrust regulators that have dinged the company for failing to sufficiently offer licenses to rivals.
