FBI Raids PCA In Deepening Salmonella Probe

Law360, New York (February 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The FBI has raided the Virginia headquarters and another plant of Peanut Corp. of America, which is under investigation in connection with a widespread salmonella outbreak that has sickened hundreds of people nationwide.

On Monday, investigators stormed the company’s Blakely, Ga., plant and its Lynchburg, Va., headquarters, looking for more evidence that PCA knowingly shipped salmonella-tainted peanuts in 2007 and 2008, the Associated Press reported.
