House Passes Water Conservation Bills

Law360, New York (February 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives passed a pair of bills Wednesday aimed at conserving water in connection with both oil and natural gas drilling and normal household use.

One of the bills, known as “The Produced Water Utilization Act,” would create a research, development and demonstration program to promote the reuse of wastewater produced in connection with energy extraction.
