IPhone, IPod Infringe 'Rapid Redraw' Patent: Picsel

Law360, New York (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Scottish technology company has filed a lawsuit claiming Apple Inc.’s iPhone and iPod Touch infringe a patent for technology that improves the scanning function for on-screen content.

In a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Picsel (Research) Ltd. and Picsel Technologies Ltd. claim the popular gadgets infringe a “rapid redraw” patent that processes data quickly, making it easier for users to load images on a hand-held device.
