Stimulus Deal Pegs Billions For Greener Energy

Law360, New York (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- As a $786 billion compromise stimulus package nears passage by Congress, lawmakers have revealed energy provisions in the bill providing billions of dollars for renewable energy programs and addressing climate change, including $6 billion in loan guarantees for renewable energy systems, $9.3 billion for intercity rail systems and $4.5 billion for "greening" of federal buildings.
