Trump Entertainment Enters Ch. 11

Law360, New York (February 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- After weeks of whispers that Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. was headed for a third bankruptcy, the casino company has filed for Chapter 11 in the wake of a missed interest payment and threats from bondholders.

On Tuesday, the Atlantic City company voluntarily filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey after bondholders spurned an offer from Donald J. Trump to buy the business.
