Samsung Joins Saxon Targets Over Wireless Patents

Law360, New York (February 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has become the latest target of infringement allegations by Saxon Innovations LLC, which has already accused a host of telecommunications companies, including Palm Inc., Nokia Corp. and Panasonic Corp., of infringing three patents related to hand-held wireless communication devices.

Saxon lodged a complaint Wednesday against Samsung and its subsidiaries Samsung Electronics America Inc. and Samsung Telecommunications America LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, just two months after filing similar complaints against a handful of other companies...
