Sen. Seeks Details On SEC Probe Of Lehman

Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday seeking details on whether the regulator was following up on evidence from a whistleblower suggesting insider trading at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.

A Lehman Brothers senior analyst met with the SEC on multiple occasions in April 2008, including a six-hour meeting on April 30, and ended up handing over more than 4,000 e-mails and other documents that furnished “ample detail to assist in launching an investigation,” according to Grassley's letter...
