Staples Ordered To Pay $2.5M In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (February 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Staples Inc. is considering an appeal after a jury ordered the company to cough up $2.5 million in damages, finding in favor of 343 plaintiffs who claimed the company misclassified them as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and failed to pay them the required premium rate for overtime hours.
