House Ups EEOC Budget By $15M, NLRB By $6M

Law360, New York (February 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- With the Obama administration thought to be placing more of an emphasis on enforcing the rights of workers, the House Appropriations Committee proposed nearly $344 million for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as almost $262.6 million for the National Labor Relations Board, as part of an omnibus funding bill.

The funding for the EEOC, part of the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 submitted by the House committee Monday, marked a $15 million increase over the House's allocation for the EEOC last year....
