Western Refining To Pay $2.25M In Enviro Settlement

Law360, New York (February 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Western Refining Co. has agreed to fund $2.25 million in environmental projects in northwestern New Mexico under a settlement with state environmental authorities resolving air quality violations at two of its refineries.

The company has agreed to implement a catalyst program by the end of the year to reduce harmful emissions from crude oil operations at refineries in Bloomfield and Gallup, N.M., the New Mexico Environment Department said Tuesday.
