Obama Seeks More Cash For SEC, CFTC In FY2010

Law360, New York (February 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In response to the continued turbulence in the markets, President Obama has unveiled a fiscal year 2010 budget that would boost funding for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Obama released his proposed budget on Thursday that would increase funding to securities regulators by 13 percent compared with 2008, while futures regulators would receive a 44 percent expansion in funding compared to the previous year.
