Lengthy Patent Battle Wages On For Microsoft

Law360, New York (August 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Timeline Inc. announced Monday that it has terminated a limited license with Microsoft Corp. for use of its patents with the software giant’s SQL Servers, and has asked a federal court to add Microsoft to a patent infringement lawsuit.

In the amended complaint in Timeline’s lawsuit against ProClarity Corp., which has been sealed by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Timeline alleges that Microsoft’s SQL Server infringes Timeline's patents by creating databases for online analytical processing.
